The 12th annual Firecracker 5000 (5K) on is all set for July Fourth. The route will remain the same, beginning at the Friday Harbor Suites, 680 Spring St. The course is for anyone wanting to start the holiday off with a little exercise.

On-site registration begins at 7 a.m. and ends at 7:55 a.m., while the race starts promptly at 8 a.m.

Entries cost $10 for those ages 16 and older and $5 for those under 16. A portion of the proceeds will support the Friday Harbor fireworks display. T-Shirts are $5 while supplies last.

The route starts from Friday Harbor Suites, down Price Street to Park Street (left), up to Marguerite (left), then out and back on Lampard Road, and back to Friday Harbor Suites.
