Annual Knowledge Bowl – Raising funds while having fun

Submitted by the San Juan Island Public Schools Foundation.

The 2025 Knowledge Bowl was a success, bringing together the local community to raise $7,176 for the San Juan Island School District. The event directly benefits local schools by funding essential resources and classroom enrichment programs that would not happen otherwise.

“We are absolutely thrilled with the turnout and support from our community,” said Katie Fleming, San Juan Public Schools Foundation Board member. “This event not only raised critical funds for our schools, but it also highlighted the spirit of collaboration and care that makes this community so special. The generosity of everyone involved will have a lasting impact on our students and teachers.”

The evening’s trivia competition saw the Rotary Club take home the top prize, while the creative eighth-grade students took first place in the costume contest.

The 2025 Knowledge Bowl is part of the ongoing effort to provide enhanced educational opportunities and support for the San Juan Island School District. The funds raised will go toward classroom supplies, field trips, enrichment activities and other essential resources that contribute to a well-rounded education for all students.
