Islanders trekked out to the former lavender farm on July 13 to celebrate Alchemy Art Center’s grand opening.

The former store was filled with art and food, a rummage sale was set up behind the store where people could find a variety of treasures, including Pelindaba clothing, old pots and pans, lavender products and more.

The party lasted into the evening with a raffle, music and games.
