Much negative gossip has gone out against our emergency services this past summer, these comments offer only misinformation. During the summer I’ve heard bits and pieces of this and I think, “this is just a few disgruntled people using social media as a weapon against another.” So, there’s a tendency to ignore it. But now, that same stuff has come up and is being used in a political campaign.

The use of social media rants is a completely disrespectful way of running a campaign.

Our emergency services staff and volunteers work day and night to serve the public, always striving to do everything possible to protect life and property. Please, use your ‘yes’ vote to support the Emergency Services Levy. And, let’s keep Bob Jarman as commissioner for San Juan Island Fire and Rescue.
