Salute of solidarity for a nation on the right track | Letters

The residents of this county owe a huge thank you to members of the Lummi Nation for their continuing opposition to a coal terminal at Cherry Point.

Their most recent letter reads in part, “The impacts on the Nation’s treaty rights associated with this project cannot be mitigated.” (emphasis added)

They are right. The possibilities for disaster are real. If the Lummi win this battle we will all win.
