In response to San Juan Island EMS fined. This is just another example of the Health Care Authority stealing from medical providers. The state Medicaid program is not paying their bills. They are using threats of taking away licensure to extort money from medical providers. I have to pay $7 out of my pocket for every Medicaid patient I treat. I still treat the patients, even though I do so at a loss. But when I read that they are fining our EMS for erring on the side of life and health, I start to come unglued. We have to do something about this, please go to http://sdc.wastateleg.org and write all three and tell them this is not okay.
