Our generous community has again supported Operation Christmas Child by sending more than 200 filled shoe boxes to children living all over the world.

We especially want to thank the Presbyterian Church for hosting and being our collection destination for all the filled boxes, the lovely ladies at Kings clothing department for saving and donating shoe boxes, Island Convalescent Center for donating items for the boxes and KeyBank for storing the wrapped boxes until they were needed.

When the boxes are filled and collected, Friday Harbor Freight employees donate their time and services to transport them to “His Place” in Mt. Vernon. The boxes then travel to the airport and are flown to collection sites, cleared, sorted and sent to needy children all over the globe.

Many thanks to all of you who have given generously to bring the joy and spirit of Christmas to less privileged children. May your hearts hear the excitement the boxes bring to these young children. Merry Christmas!
