Medicare info | Letter

At present, Medicare benefits for rehabilitation for occupational therapy will be capped at $2,010, physical therapy and speech therapy combined will be capped at $2010 unless Congress acts to actively change this. In years past there was a cap exception process that allowed additional funding for many diagnoses. That additional funding has expired and has not been renewed by this Congress. Now is the time to write your Senators and Representatives to ask them to make sure that you don’t lose benefits. We never plan to have rotator cuff tear or stroke, but stuff like that happens and afterwards, there is a great need for therapy intervention. Essentially your benefits for outpatient therapy have been cut in half. Write, call, tell your friends… Don’t let them whittle down your Medicare benefits.
