To whom it may concern;
This letter is to inform you that the contractor Mike Carlson Enterprises, Inc. has been awarded the construction contract for the road, utility and pedestrian improvements on Blair Street.
We are excited to get the road under construction and completed.
The work will begin on Monday June 30, 2014. The contractor has 100 days for final completion of the entire project. The construction limits are from Spring Street to Guard (or 2nd St).
Phase 1 of the work will be between Guard St. and Reed/Park St. This section of the roadway will be closed during construction and re-opened once completed. Per the contract agreement Phase 1 will need to be completed prior to the start of the school year.
Phase 2 of the work will be between Spring St. and Reed/Park St., this section of roadway will be open to local traffic only. Flaggers will be present when necessary to assist with safe travel thru the construction zone.
We will have traveling work zones while we are doing the utility work. These work zones will be well marked and delineated with traffic cones and other approved traffic control devices.
The work zone for this project is relatively narrow and we ask you to not travel thru the construction project unless it is absolutely necessary. If you do have to travel through the construction project we ask you to use extreme caution.
We will mark areas for pedestrian traffic. For your safety please cross at all cross walks or areas marked with traffic control delineation. Please do not cross through work zones as it can unsafe.
I will be around frequently to check on how we are treating you while we are under construction.
