I’ve known and appreciated Rick Hughes since 1991 when he worked with my late husband, Warren, and me and when we lived in Vail, Colorado. I knew and greatly respected his late parents, as well — also valuable Orcas Islanders.

I’m very conservative and I often object to some of Rick’s thinking — which really fits in with the climate of the island — but I always appreciate his business thinking which is the backbone of our economy and terribly important to be protected, as it is by him.

Rick and Marlace are important, generous life-forces contributing greatly to the benefit of us all.
