Ron has a long history of service. Not only did he served his Country in the USMC, but he continued to serve his community as Sheriff of San Juan County. He has over 20 years in management experience and over 15 years in law enforcement. He is also a loving dad and husband. Ron exemplifies what is best about our San Juan Islands County and we are thankful he has responded to calls to continue serving his community.

He is fair, kind, lacking in ego and has fulfilled the role as Sheriff in a sensitive and caring way. Of course, the job of Sheriff has been complicated by an ever changing legal and social circumstance. During this time, Ron’s maturity and seasoned management experience has shone through. He has assembled an excellent team and continues to recruit the best and brightest of individuals as deputies – deputies who reflect his commonsense, caring, community approach to safety.

We believe the County is well served to have an individual as outstanding as Ron as our Sheriff and hope you will join us and others in voting for him in this upcoming election.
