Concerned over election — choose the qualified, well-informed candidates | Letters

They make a formidable team that will look out for our health care interests, the needs and concerns of all islanders and make more effective use of our tax dollars.

As a long time San Juan Island resident and taxpayer. I am deeply concerned about the upcoming election for our public hospital district commissioners.

I have come to the conclusion that we truly need the most qualified, experienced candidates. I am also very concerned with the EMS budget and compliance with our state laws, particularly death with dignity and the reproductive privacy act.

The candidates I’ve decided on are all well informed and capable. I firmly believe they can and will do a better job for all of us than their opponents.

Please join me in voting for Barbara Sharp, Bill Williams and Monica Harrington. They make a formidable team that will look out for our health care interests, the needs and concerns of all islanders and make more effective use of our tax dollars.
