Known as a “critical access hospital”, Peace Island Medical Center, which will be built and operated by PeaceHealth, will feature 10 beds, a clinical lab, diagnostic imagery, short-stay surgery, an outpatient procedure area and 24/7 emergency room care.

I came away from that meeting grateful for the delay, but was very concerned by the council’s suggestion that a group of private citizens should find a way to “buy” their way out of this predicament by raising funds that would then be used to continue to maintain this county road in the same way that it has been maintained for years. What concerns and really upsets me is that this $30 pass is only one car specific. While my husband and I don’t mind paying the $30 for the pass to help keep our state parks open, we do oppose the one vehicle per household regulation.
