Howie has the knowledge, attitude and know-how to continue to be not only an asset, but a fundamental ingredient to a balanced County Council.

I always enjoy talking with him about current issues when I pick up my art that he frames with the eye of a perfectionist. One day I asked him, “Howie, how do you do it? Every time I leave one of those council meetings, I have the worst neck ache?” His response: “I actually quite enjoy it and feel a certain amount of responsibility to preserve our precious way of life.”

As a lifelong islander and business owner in the hospitality industry, that is the type of person I believe should be responsible for the decisions that ultimately determine and affect our way of life.
