Public meetings on the new library building project

Submitted by the San Juan Island Library.

The San Juan Island Library is hosting public meetings to gather input from the community about the library’s new building project. The first meeting, scheduled for Oct. 22 from noon to 2 p.m. and again from 6-8 p.m., will present the current status of the new building project and collect feedback from the community about what needs and services they most desire from their library. Come prepared to learn about the new building project and ready to share your thoughts about what you want your library to be!

Library staff can answer any questions you have at 360-378-2798 or sjlib@sjlib.org. Library programs and cards are free of charge to San Juan Island residents. In addition to its collections of books, videos, equipment, games, audiobooks and other materials to loan, the library also provides public access computers, Wi-Fi and a suite of databases that patrons can access in the library or at home. Library hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 3 p.m.
