Island Rec’s Children Fest returns May 5

The 28th annual Children’s Festival will return from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, May 5 at the county fairgrounds building. The event is free and all ages are welcome.

Dozens of organizations will provide hands-on activities centered around the theme, “Starry, Starry Night,” including creating passports with the Rotary Club and exploring the solar system with Lighthouse Preschool. The Flight Museum will also be on site with a traveling planetarium. The Argyle Street Jazz band will perform, and Island Rec staff are providing inflatable fun, including a bungee run.
