To kick off their 2023 season, Petal and Vine of San Juan Island will be showcasing fancy tulips and other spring blooms at a fresh-cut flower event at Brickworks on Sunday, April 30 from noon to 3 p.m.
The event is free and includes refreshments and live entertainment by local musician Lars Sorensen. Sign in and get an entry for the end-of-event raffle prize!
Petal and Vine owner Michelle Westover will share the farm’s amazing three-year progress, plans and new offerings for the coming season, and wholesale flower availability. She is passionate about her mission to hire and educate young adults in the field of agriculture and marketing. Applications for the Summer Intern program will also be available.
This is an opportunity to place your orders for Mother’s Day and Graduation Day bouquets and arranged flowers. In addition, you can sign up for the flower farm’s subscription service – a convenient way to have fresh flowers delivered to your door throughout the summer, or maybe you prefer to drive by and select your bouquet from their flower stand. Both options are available.
Petal and Vine’s fresh cut flowers, seeds, and merchandise are available from May – September at the Saturday Farmers Market and for pick up at a new flower stand on Limestone Point Road. Their unique fresh flower “Boat Box” is available in Roche Harbor at a pop-up stand on Fridays. If you haven’t seen one yet, the boat box is a convenient, low-profile container with an inner liner to hold water. It’s an ideal way to display flowers on your boat, table or desk. When you are ready for more flowers – return the boat box for a nice discount on your next boat box.
Brickworks is located in downtown Friday Harbor – 150 Nichols St, Friday Harbor, WA 98250
