What’s new at Griffin Bay High School

Lead teacher Suzanne Cowden said Griffin Bay High School, which serves students with alternative learning needs, is reorganizing the way the school runs. Last year she met with students for one hour for all their classes, this year she is running “studies skills classes” every day during  Friday Harbor High School’s second and third periods, where students can learn study skills and also “work on individual courses to help students keep moving through their work,” said Cowden. “We’re really excited to make the students more successful.”

Griffin Bay’s offers a  parent-partner program for homeschoolers, their virtual academy for kindergarten through eighth graders, their online school and the contract school.
