Wolverines take on the Wolves at home

The Friday Harbor Wolverines boys and girls varsity basketball teams took on the Coupeville Wolves Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Turnbull gym.

The Lady Wolverines were slow to begin scoring in the beginning quarters and the Wolves led the whole way, not until the last quarter did the Wolverines come alive and started putting points on the scoreboard. Not enough and lost to the Wolves 26-35.

The Wolverine Boys had a close match up with the Wolves during every quarter of play. Before the half ended Gavin Mason made a three-point shot from the corner as the buzzer sounded giving Friday Harbor the lead. The second half the Wolverines kept the lead with the Wolves still barking at the door. In the final minutes of play, crucial foul shots were made by Ty Anderson and Ethan Germain to secure the win for the Wolverines! The Wolverines clinched this nail biter game with a win and a score of 43-38.
