Trailing by a single point at the half, the Wolverines outscored the Braves by two after the break to go up by one, at 32-31, heading into the final eight minutes of regulation. They doubled the offensive output of the home team in the fourth quarter, 14-7, to clinch the come-from-behind victory.

The Wolverines got back on the winning track with a late-game rally and a 46-38 win Tuesday at La Conner.

Senior Maggie Andersen tossed in a game-high 21 points, and guards Larissa Nash and Liz Taylor tallied eight points apiece, as Friday Harbor opened the second half of Northwest 1A/2B League play by sweeping its two-game season series against La Conner.

The Wolverines (9-4 overall, 6-1 league) defeated the Braves by 20 points at home Dec. 8, a 52-32 win, in their second game of the season.

Friday Harbor, the defending league champ, trails Darrington (7-0 league) by one game in the race for the 2010-2011 league title. The Wolverines square off against the Loggers Jan. 29 at Darrington; tip off for that Saturday game is 1:30 p.m.
