Can you say dynasty?

Second-place Distinctive Stone (8-2) gave the defending champs a run for their money — actually, a trophy and league title T-shirts.

The season ended Aug. 3.

Over in B League, the Lucky Strikes shook off a pair of early-season losses, regrouped, re-calibrated, and then turned a second-half season surge into its first-ever title.

Coach Christian Andrade credits team chemistry and an emphasis on just “having fun” in helping to lead the Lucky Strikes to the promised land. Andrade said the addition of a young gun, who brought speed and a big bat into the lineup, also gave the team a bit more offense than it had the past two years.

“The team’s been together for three years and we just have a real good chemistry,” he said. “I think the big thing is that it’s important to us that we all have fun, and we did.”

The Sea Sluggers and San Juan Propane, B League’s defending champ, finished the season tied for second place, at 6-4.
