The 2017 winter cheer squad is ready to pump up Wolverine fans.

“We are really excited about the squad this season, we hope to impress the crowds with some great halftime routines,” says cheer coach Stacey Rude.

The Wolverines’ cheer team has 10 girls this season, led by captains Hallie Hargrove and Vida Wight.

“Last years senior captains, Sis [Baker] and Nayaleah [Tucker-Belt], left big shoes to fill,” Rude explains, “I think this year’s senior captains, Hallie and Vida are up to the challenge and will impress us all with their leadership skills and the creativity they will bring to this season.”

The team has five seniors; Hallie Hargrove, Vida Wight, Ana Anderson, Caroline Bryant, and Lupita Plaza-Garcia. Jordyn Mccutcheon, Salud Soto, and Isabelle Oliver make up the juniors and the other two members, Arlyn Sanabria and Greta Kellerhoff, are sophomores. Head coach of five years, Rude, works with assistant coach Cere Demuth. Rude invites fans to “Show up to the games to see what we have in store.”
