The Friday Harbor girls soccer team’s only goal of the match came early, with Teagan Serna driving home a pass from Emily Guard to give the Wolverines a 1-0 lead with less than five minutes off the clock.

But that single shot by Serna into the back of the net proved all the offense the Wolverines would need to outlast Division 2B Evergreen Lutheran at home, Saturday, in a non-conference contest, and for Friday Harbor to tally win No. 3 of the season, its third straight.

With a pair of wins earlier in the week, 12-2 at Concrete and 5-0 at home over Orcas (Guard knocked in three goals against the Vikings), Friday Harbor improved to 3-1 on the season and to 2-0 in Northwest 2B/1A League play.
