Boys’ Wolverines win against Loggers

The boys took on the Darrington Loggers on Friday, Jan. 19. The Loggers sank a 3-point basket at the start of the game, but the Wolverines took the lead in the first quarter. The score going into the second quarter was 18-13. The Wolverines gained a stronger lead in the second quarter and kept the Loggers at bay. The score at half time was 36-17.

Both teams came out strong after half time, and there was equal action at both ends of the court. However, the Wolverines kept their lead with an overall score of 47-26 going into the final quarter. The Wolverines won with a 20 point lead with a final score of 54-34.

This is the Wolverines’ second win over Darrington. Their last battle, on Dec. 20, was a close win at a final score of 48-46. The next game is at home against LaConner on Friday, Jan. 26. They go up against Orcas on Tuesday, Jan. 30, and their final game is against Concrete at home on Friday, Feb. 2.
