Wolverines dismantle Concrete for seventh consecutive win | Baseball

Senior Parker Lawson had three base hits and a pair of RBIs, and scored a run in the third, in leading the Wolverines to a 4-1 win at home April 20 over Concrete.

On the mound, Shawn Cutting held the Lions scoreless over four innings before giving way to Alex Jangard, who kept Concrete in check over the final three innings to seal the victory.

With the win, Friday Harbor notched its seventh-straight victory and improved to 9-1 in Northwest 1A/2B League play and 11-4 overall.

Senior Justin "J.J." James had a pair of singles to boost his batting average to .333 for the season, and Tanner Buck drove in his 10th run of the year with a double in the third inning that brought Lawson home with the team's fourth and final run.

Next: The Wolverines are on the road April 23 at Darrington for a doubleheader, beginning at 3 p.m.. They travel to Orcas April 27.
