Maggie Andersen scored 26 points to help Friday Harbor overwhelm Darrington 55-31 Jan. 29 at Turnbull Gym, solidifying the Wolverines' hold on the Northwest 1A/2B league lead.

Friday Harbor dominated from the start, leading Darrington in each period: 10-9 in the first, 21-16 in the second, 32-22 in the third, and 55-31 at the close.

This was not the same Darrington team that scorched Concrete 76-33.

While the Friday Harbor offense was prolific at the net, defense was aggressive as well; the Wolverines held Darrington's Renee Cousins to 15 points. Only five other Loggers scored, and only between 2 and 4 points each. Cousins had one three-point goal.

With the win, Friday Harbor improved to 7-1 league, 10-5 overall. Darrington is now 6-3 league, 11-5 overall.

Here's how Friday Harbor scored:

Barnes 12
Short 9

L. Nash 2
Neff-Baro 2
