Wolverines' fall sports practice begins Aug. 19, 24

Fall sports practice begins Aug. 19 for Friday Harbor High School football, Aug. 24 for cheerleading, girls soccer, boys tennis, and volleyball.
In order to practice on the first day, student athletes must have:
1. A current physical with all information and signatures (good for two years).
2. Medical insurance through a family medical policy or a purchased school plan.
3. A completed Emergency Information Card.
4. An ASB card and payment of the participation fee.
In order to participate in games or meets, students must have 12 practices in football, 10 practices in cheerleading, soccer, tennis and volleyball.
For sport-specific information, call Darrin Scheffer, football, 378-4882; Mark Fishaut, girls soccer, 378-1338; Dick Barnes, boys tennis, 378-5516; Travis Mager, 298-0628, volleyball.
Dr. Fishaut, of San Juan Healthcare. will offer sports physicals on Aug. 17, 18, 24 and 25, 2-4:30 p.m. Cost is $35.
Inter Island Medical Center will offer sports physicals on Aug. 11, 6-8 p.m. Cost is $35; call 378-2150 to schedule.
