Early registrations are up 21 percent for the King’s San Juan Island Marathon and Half Marathon.
“Traditionally, most of the registrations come in four weeks prior to the race, with a surge of day-before registrations at the expo,” race co-director Paul Hopkins said. “So, we’re very pleased with these early numbers and hope the trend continues.”
Co-director Clark Gilbert said the course is becoming widely viewed as challenging. The event was featured recently in NW Runner magazine.
