Friday Harbor ranked ninth in state baseball poll

The Friday Harbor Wolverines are ranked ninth in among state 1A baseball teams, according to WashingtonBaseballPoll.com.

The poll was founded in 1978 by Lem Elway, retired Anacortes High School baseball coach and teacher. Rankings are based on team performance with input with coaches and newspaper sports reporters.

Among 1A teams, Okanogan is ranked first, followed by Naches, Kalama, Freeman, Chelan, Chimacum, Lakeside, Nooksack Valley, Friday Harbor, and Cashmere.
