So, dust off your binoculars and get ready to enjoy the sounds of spring. Sign up for more than one class and get a Good Student Discount.
— Basic Birding: Learning about local birds can be a bit overwhelming but this class will build your identification skills with classroom and field time. Choose from two different dates and sessions or take them both to double your fun.
Session 1 is Thursday. Session 2 is April 4. Both are from 8-10:30 a.m. on San Juan Island. Cost is $20 per session.
— Birding By Ear: The birds are full of song, but getting a handle on learning bird vocalization can be a daunting task.
Classroom time will give you the background on bird songs, calls and notes. Participants will follow-up with field time to help build on your new skills. Again, choose from two different dates and sessions or take them both to double your fun.
Session 1 is May 17. Session 2 is May 21. Both are 8 a.m. to noon on San Juan Island. Cost is $25 per session.
