Second consecutive win for Friday Harbor girls soccer team

Whitney Porter scored two goals and Shelby Ness had one goal and one assist in Friday Harbor's 3-2 triumph over La Conner, Thursday at La Conner.

With the win, Friday Harbor improved to 2-2. The Wolverines travel to Orcas on Sept. 23.

La Conner took an early 1-0 lead, but the teams were tied 2-2 at the end of the fourth period, forcing the game into overtime. Porter broke the tie with a goal on a Ness assist.

Porter scored the first goal with an assist from Larissa Nash. Ness scored again for the Wolverines with an assist from Alex MacDonald.
