PIMC 'outreach' offers free physicals for high school fall sports

The high school fall sports season is just around the corner, believe it, or not, and practice will begin even sooner.

So, it's time to get that physical exam.

For the season ahead, student athletes can get the required physical for free, thanks to Peace Island Medical Center's "community outreach," and the donation of time by PIMC doctors and nurses.

The free physical clinic is Sunday, Aug. 3, 3-7 p.m., in Friday Harbor High School's Hall Gym.

Students should fill out and bring a completed "athletics packet" to the clinic. Packets are available and can be downloaded from the San Juan Island School District website, at
