Friday Harbor's twin towers combined for 32 points in leading the Wolverines to a lopsided 55-21 win at home, Saturday, over South Whidbey.

Tabatha Keane scored 19 points and Allie Galt had 13 to pace Friday Harbor on the offensive end. Senior Alaina Scheffer, 2-of-2 from beyond the three-point line, had eight.

Capitalizing on their size up front and speed in the open court, the Wolverines grabbed a 16-6 advantage at the end of the first period and widened the lead to 34-7 at the half. They outscored the Falcons 21-14 in the second half to seal the victory.

"We tried to push the ball, and we sacrificed a few turnovers for it," point-guard Emily Guard said. "But we pushed the ball pretty well."

With the win, Friday Harbor improved to 2-0 on the season. Three days earlier, the Wolverines outpaced Forest Ridge to claim a 73-16 victory in their 2013-14 season opener on the road. Keane (32) and Galt (21) together combined for 53 of the team point total.
