Soccer season ends with 2-0 loss to Vashon

The Friday Harbor Wolverines boys soccer team’s season ended May 6 with a 2-0 loss to Vashon Island High School.

The Wolverines finished the season with a 4-10-1 record.

“We lost to a better team,” Coach Andy Duke said. “And I think the guys know that. They agree. They showed a lot of passing patterns, a lot of one-touch passing. They were real quick and controlled the ball for long periods of time.”

The loss to Vashon was the final game for seniors Avery Adams, Shay Byington, Daniel English, Stephen Garfield, Jake Gustafson, Miguel Medina, Erik Nash, Kevin O’Connor, Louis Paul and Kyle Schaeffer. Seven of them are consistent starters.
