Two days after clinching the league title, Friday Harbor sophomore Kendra Meeker finished in second place in the District 1A post-season golf tournament, May 10, at North Bellingham.

Meeker, a state tournament-qualifier a year ago, nearly claimed a second consecutive crown, falling to to District champion Jordan Wyrick of King's High School by a single stroke. Wyrick shot 84 over 18 holes to edge past Meeker, who finished with 85.

Sophomore Christo Bolger shot 90 and senior Riley Rousar netted a 92, with each capturing a berth in the Tri-District, May 15 at Golf Mountain golf course in Bremerton.
