Move over Mr. Whalen, it's Marty's turn at the top.

Friday Harbor's Marty Chevalier landed a 19-plus pounder Saturday to knock Carter Whalen out of contention for yet another weekly prize and to become front-runner in the race for the grand prize of this year's Frank Wilson Memorial Fishing Derby.

Chevalier, with that 19 pounder, hooked on Week 7's final day, bumped Whalen from the lead for the week and earned the derby's weekly cash prize to boot.

Chevalier also grabbed the overall lead of the derby, leap-frogging past Rich Warin and his 17-plus pounder, with only three weeks remaining in the 2011 edition of the derby, an annual fund raising event for San Juan EMS.

Derby's Top Ten, as of March 16:

1. Marty Chevalier — 19.25

2. Rich Warin — 17.01

3. Geno James — 16.22

4. Carter Whalen — 15.74

5. Carter Whalen - 15.68

6. Andy Holman — 15.14

7. Justin  Nibler — 14.02

8. Carter Whalen — 13.76

9. Matt Chevalier — 12.94

10. (tie) Karen Rhinehart & Jim Lawson — 12.70
