The Friday Harbor Wolverines and the Orcas Vikings meet Friday for the Island Cup game, at Friday Harbor. Kick-off is 6:45 p.m.

The Island Cup was started in 1990. Friday Harbor leads 13-7 in cup wins.

The Friday Harbor and Orcas football teams have been meeting since 1973. Friday Harbor leads 28-24-1 and is 16-10-1 at home.

Friday Harbor has won the last six straight and three straight at home.

From 1973 to 1989, they played twice each season except 1976 when they played once. For 20 years — from 1990 to 2009 — they've battled once each season.

The longest Friday Harbor win streak: 10 from 1982 to 1986.

Longest Orcas win streak: 6 from 1987 to 1989, and 1998 to 2003.

Most points scored by Friday Harbor: 58 in 1997 (Friday Harbor 58-7).

Most points scored by Orcas: 58 in 2000 (Orcas 58-7).

Largest winning margin by Friday Harbor: 51 in 1997 (Friday Harbor 58-7).

Largest winning margin by Orcas: 57 in 1998 (Orcas 57-0).

Friday Harbor has shutout Orcas 11 times.

Orcas has shutout Friday Harbor 14 times.

Highest combined score: 65 (Friday Harbor 58-7, 1997; Orcas 58-7, 2000; and Orcas 49-16, 2001).

Lowest combined score: 3 (Friday Harbor 3-0, 1981).

Total points scored: 940 by Orcas (17.7 avg.) and 692 by Friday Harbor (13.1 avg.)
