I would like to comment on the article in the July 14, 2010 edition of The Journal (("Bye, bye, bunny / Public meeting July 27 on rabbit removal plan," page 1).

I have written on this subject before, but now that it is again in the forefront, here I am again as well.

I am saddened to hear that, once again, the rabbits at American Camp are under the gun — this time possibly literally. Our visits to the "bunny field" are a regular part of our island trips and we would miss being able to watch the interaction between the rabbits, raptors and foxes. We usually spend at least a half-hour enjoying these animals in their natural habitat.

Thank you.
