This is to support Steve Ludwig’s letter in the Feb 9 edition of The Journal calling for restraint in the use of cell phones, which may be causing the disappearance of pollinating honeybees. This information seems to be absent from the major media in this country.

Although the study describing this phenomenon, by Jochen Kuhn of the University of Koblenz-Landau, was published in 2003, no follow-up scientific studies have been done.

The absence of media coverage and additional studies is probably due to the corporate culture, which immediately and clandestinely infuse massive amounts of money to suppress or deflect any negative information about their products. One has hope that the time of corporate-dominated society is at an end, but apparently not yet.
