We’ve decided to vote yes in the November election for the levies for San Juan County and our island Recreation District. Both of these levies further the values that make our island one of the most civilized places on earth.

We’re living in a time of economic unease that affects all of us but is especially hard on those who depend on our community provided services. We believe that these levies maintain those important services and ones that sustain programs that make our island a special place to live.

It is important to remember that the school district bond levy will be paid off this December. The cost of both of the proposed levies is less than the cost of the school district bond. Property taxes will be lower next year even after approving the levies.

Please join us in voting for our community values.
