A big thank you to Fire Chief Marler and all those who responded to our 3 a.m. furnace fire April 25. We were grateful for the folks that jumped out of warm beds and came to our home so quickly, prepared to deal with anything and everything.

The skilled and experienced fire crew determined the fire was contained within our furnace, and then stayed to scan our home completely to assure that no hot spots remained.

Another "thank you" goes out to Jim’s Heating for sending someone out a few hours later to assess the damage. We are also appreciative of our neighbors who checked on us.

We are so fortunate to live in this wonderful community.
