San Juan County shouldn't regulate water catchment

I could not agree more with Don Webster’s letter to the editor regarding the county’s application to acquire rainwater catchments rights. This is about the stupidest proposal I have ever heard.

If the county’s application is approved, the next move will be to govern how I may use this rainwater; most probable will be a restriction on the use for potable water.

Geez, catchment water is used all over the world. I believe in Bermuda it is the only water available. Except for short periods in some dry summers, I have used untreated catchments water in all my house systems for the past 38 years with no ill effects.
