Silver Tea was a success

The San Juan Historical Society recently held its annual Silver Tea.

It was a success.

Chocolate cookies, lemon cookies and apricot cookies and many others were devoured by our guests. A parade and history of aprons was held and narrated by Kristy Wade and sparked interest from all.

The background music was critical in making it a success. David Bayley, renowned pianist from our island, gave of his time and piano playing this year as well as he did last year. The songs, "The Entertainer" and the "Maple Leaf Rag" made us want to dance. A big THANK YOU for such delightful entertainment. The music is as important as the tea and cookies.

Thank you, David, for the music. Also, thank you to all who make the tea happen.
