We the People… the hardworking, family-oriented, community volunteering, forward-thinking residents of Sun Rise, believe that nothing worthwhile comes without sacrifice, determination and forethought.

It is how we are able to live in our community at all.

We share the vision to protect and preserve our beautiful islands and their limited lands not only for the use, enjoyment and sustenance of this generation, and the many generations to follow us, but also for the sake of plants, soil and innumerable living things that keep this planet alive.

It is just prudent stewardship.

We, ourselves, do not have the luxury of bountiful funds or personal lands to satisfy our needs, so rely upon lands in the public trust to provide us with the many benefits that special lands afford, whether it's preserving farm land, a beach, a trail to walk, a valuable watershed or places to make us feel alive and inspire us.

That is why we support our county Land Bank and its efforts to preserve lands that benefit us all — residents, tourists and the natural world alike. There is no better service to our "greater community" than the thoughtful preservation of the lands that sustain us.

Join us in voting to renew the Land Bank's valuable mission.
