To continue to do nothing is no longer acceptable. The time for action is NOW. Together we can and will make a difference!

As Captain Charles Moore points out, public waste has polluted our largest natural food resource — the oceans — to the point that our fish and seafood, and thereby us, are being poisoned at an alarming rate.

It is time we took action and start reversing these damaging trends before it is too late.

It is time to increase awareness of this and other important ocean issues.

Captain Moore is featured on Sept. 29, 9 p.m. ET/PT, on a CNBC documentary about waste management.

The island is privileged to have renowned oceanographer Captain Moore come here Oct. 26, to speak at the San Juan Community Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is invited. Please mark your calendar now.
