Take survey to help county planning | Comprehensive Plan

Submitted by San Juan County

Tell the local government your thoughts on planning.

Islanders can comment on the San Juan County Department of Community Development’s online survey about the Comprehensive Plan Vision Statement. The survey builds upon conversations at the October workshops about the plan. Community input is vital to ensure that the vision statement reflects the aspirations of all county residents.

Take the survey at www.surveymonkey.com/r/K95TNK5. It will be available until Nov. 30.

The survey focuses on five areas of the vision statement, which received the majority of comments during the October workshops.

They are basic needs; energy and resources; economy; natural environment; and transportation. Shaping the survey in this way is a direct result of the thoughtful input the community provided at the October events.

A summary report of the results of this survey and the accompanying vision statement outreach work will be presented to the county council on Dec. 11 and the county’s planning commission on Dec. 15. There will be more opportunities to comment after those meetings too.
