On Friday, Sept. 1, the San Juan Island School District Board of Directors will hold a special meeting executive session, then an open public meeting. The purpose of the special meeting is to conduct an executive session to discuss potential litigation with legal counsel, then to take action at a public meeting about the San Juan Island Education Association.

At the open public meeting — to be held at 2 p.m. at the Friday Harbor High Schoo library — all public comment, with the exception of public hearings on policy, budget or other specific items, will be heard during the public comment section. Anyone wishing to address the board on any topic will be scheduled to speak during the public comment period by the administrative assistant at the meeting. Schedule to speak 15 minutes before the start of the meeting.
