A local man was found safe around noon on Jan. 30. He was suffering from mild lacerations to his feet and mild hypothermia. He was transported to the Peace Island Medical Center where he will be treated and evaluated.

“I would like to thank the men and women of both the sheriff’s office and the San Juan fire department for all of their efforts in locating him,” said San Juan County Sheriff Ron Krebs.

At approximately 3:45 a.m., a 20-year-old Friday Harbor male made threats to harm himself to his mother. He then ran out of the residence and was last seen on Roche Harbor Road and Terrace Drive. Four deputies were called to attempt to locate him without success.
