When making a purchase online, 67 percent of consumers consider image quality to be “very important.” To turn browsers into buyers, business owners must show potential customers their products in the best light, and help them connect with products and services in ways that words – or mediocre photographs – cannot.
Join the San Juan County Economic Development Council and photographer Mark Gardner from 9 to 11:30 a.m., March 29, at the San Juan Island Library, to learn what photos will work for businesses, ways to use photographs on websites and in print, and the practical aspects of producing and outputting photos.
San Juan Islander Mark Gardner has worked as a full-service individual, family and business photographer for over a decade. Gardner has published two books (including one with photographer Art Wolfe) and he teaches photography workshops locally. He also has a website of San Juan Islands stock images. For more information, visit www.photographybymarkgardner.com.
Workshop topics include lighting, composition, output, planning photo shoots, and using photos to sell products and services.
This event is not sponsored by the library. It costs $25, per person, and reservations are required. Visit www.sanjuansedc.org/photography to register. Contact 378-2906 or email@example.com for more information.
The EDC thanks San Juan County government, our ports, the Town of Friday Harbor, Heritage Bank, Islanders Bank, Island Market, and the Department of Commerce for their support of this workshop.
