Kris Lytton to talk politics at League of Women Voters meeting

The League of Women Voters of the San Juans is sponsoring a talk by former Representative Kris Lytton, Feb. 11, from noon-2 p.m. at the San Juan Island Library Conference Room. Lytton represented our 40th District in the Washington State House of Representatives from 2010 through 2018 and was an advocate for children, education and tax reform.

Lytton will talk about life in the House of Representatives, the ins and outs of how the daily legislative agenda is formed, how a bill gets introduced and who can introduce it, as well as how legislation progresses through the House. Find out what part you can play in this whole process.

This is the league’s monthly membership meeting, but as always, the public is welcome to attend and learn about the inner workings of the state legislature.
